Student loans

    Today in class we discuss student loans. This was a very essential topic, because mostly everyone in the class is planning on attending college. I lessened that most of the people that go to college have to get loans. I also learned that student loans don’t disappear, until they are paid.

Current Event Part 2

     Today in class the other half of the class presented their projects. A lot more people were able to present today ,compared to yesterday. I’ve learned about so many different current events. I’ve learned about the pros ,and cons of minimum wage. I have also learned how dangerous ,and expensive plastic surgery can be.

Current Event

    Today in class we presented our current event presentations. I really enjoyed creating my PowerPoint. It was very educational , and interesting.My presentation was on fraudulent modeling agencies. This was a topic I was very familiar with. I always see ads about acting ,and modeling that seem very persuasive to the world. But, that is why it is important to do research on that agency, and make sure they are licensed, even if the state doesn’t require it.

     Today I was absent.

Current event project

      Today in class Mr. Rease thoroughly explained our Current event project. He gave us many sources ,and guidelines to follow. He gave us the choice of choosing our own topic , so we will have no problem talking about it . I decided to do my presentation on extortion of models. I don’t hear many people talk about it, but I always see in on the news , and online.

Importance of Reading

        Today in class we talked about the importance of reading. We read an essay on a Native American boy talking about how much he read, in order to be more successful then his minority. We were put into four groups, and we had to summarize the story. A lot of the answers were very similar , therefore it was hard for me to distinguish the correct answer choice.

USPS

        Today in class we talked about the USPS. We discussed whether it should be reconstructed ,or should it not. We had to come up with three reasons, and a claim to follow our reasoning. The USPS is very big around the United States, but it could be bigger. Companies like Amazon, DHL, and UPS are getting lots of customers because they have better technology. There are a few people that are fine with old technology , but majority is not. Therefore, the USPS should upgrade if they want to get better business.

Monuments Part 2

         Today in class we discussed monuments. On monday we talked about the most important factors when groups , or agencies are considering building a memorial. Today we had to explain why the factors we chose were the most important. We also had to make a claim, and provide evidence to back up our claims.

Monuments

      Today in class we discussed monuments. We saw a short video, that showed Rosa Parks’ monument.We talked about the most effective factors when a group or agency is considering building a monument. The most important factors in my option were money management, design and the impact the monument have on people.
