Forms of English
Today in class I learned about the different ways English can be spoken. There are many forms of English. People from Great Britain speak English, but they do not sound like the average American. Every culture sounds different when they speak English. An African-American parent would sound different from an Asian-American parent ,becarse the cultures are completely opposite.

Commas
Today in class I learned about commas. I learned how to use the eight comma rules. I learned how to separate independent clauses when they are followed by questions. I also learned about italics for long and short works.

Stereotypes
Today in class I learned about stereotypes. Stereotypes are automatic assumptions or ideas associated with a particular group of people. I learned that being stereotypical and prejudicial are very similar , but they are not the same. We read a story about a Latina woman that was stereotypically judged based on her clothes. There were many myths about Latina women that caused people to look at her differently.
