        Today in class we talked about the American Dream. Everyone in class discussed their dreams and aspirations in life.Many of my classmates were still undecided about their goals. Chapter 1&2 discussion

          Today in class we discussed chapter two. Cheryl was grieving over her mother’s death. She was very rude and mean to others. She couldn’t accept the fact that her mother was gone and wasn’t coming back. Cheryl had sexual affairs with multiple men to cope with her pain and grief. Later she confessed to her husband. Her husband moved out, and Cheryl went to Portland to visit an old friend.

To Be An American

           Today in class, I learned about the true meaning of being an American. I learned that just because you are born in America, doesn’t mean you are a true American. Being American means, working where you want to work and marrying the person you want to marry. I also learned about heroes. Heroes can also be your favorite basketball player, but heroes don’t have to be from marvel. Heroes are simply people that help others.

Hiking

        Today in class I read the prologue for the book Wild by Cheryl Strayed. While reading , I learned a lot about hiking. I learned that in order to be a hiker, you must have lots of gear and equipment. I also learned that you must have special boots for hiking.

Argument

      Today in class I learned more about arguing. I learned how to not provoke the argument, but listen to what the other person has to say. I learned that when arguing with someone , you will most likely have a better outcome, if you listen to what the other person is saying.

Process of Elimination

      Today in class I learned about the process of elimination. I learned how to eliminate incorrect answer choices, and find the best answer for the question. I read a story, about a soldier that had a very rough time during war. He had to kill many people, but as time went on he regretted it.
